TRON To Launch Decentralized Live Broadcasting Protocol

Justin Sun, the CEO and Founder of TRON just announced via his Twitter account that the network will be launching a decentralized live broadcasting protocol by the end of this year.

The said broadcasting protocol will be placed in competition with streaming services such as Youtube, Twitch, Facebook, among others.

The platform will be created by BitTorrent, which the Tron Network has recently acquired. Aimed to push the mass adoption of the blockchain, it will leverage TRON’s in-house BitTorrent team.

The new broadcasting protocol will allow the user to have a seamless peer-to-peer experience of sharing heavy files like videos, music, downloaded at a very high speed.

Whether in the blockchain and non-blockchain markets, streaming is a highly competitive space. To add on any of the existing and much popular streaming giants could also step into the blockchain space with their own version of blockchain streaming.

Additionally, the regulatory issues related to copyright might also present as an issue that the protocol has to overcome.

Tron has been striving to become of the strongest platforms for decentralized applications, ever since it migrated for the Ethereum network. While the task in TRON’s hand is certainly challenging, it might be a trigger that can make cryptocurrency and blockchain accessible for everyone.
